Big 5 Construct Saudi opens in Riyadh on Sunday 30 August under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, running for four days from 30 August to 2 September at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center at ROSHN Front.
The exhibition brings together more than 1,000 exhibitors from over 50 countries under the theme From foundation to future, built for every scale, according to the organiser. Its focus is the early and heavy end of construction: heavy construction and equipment, concrete, HVACR and the related building systems that determine how a project is built rather than how it is sold.
Patronage by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources places the event inside the Kingdom's industrial policy rather than its housing or municipal policy, which is a reasonable reflection of where the construction supply chain now sits. A substantial share of the products on the floor are made in Saudi Arabia by companies that did not manufacture here five years ago, and a substantial share of the international exhibitors are looking for the local partner or production route that public procurement rules increasingly require.
Sustainability has been given a defined route through the exhibition. The Big 5 Impact Trail spotlights practical solutions across the floor, intended to help project teams identify products and systems that improve efficiency, reduce environmental impact and support long-term building performance. Solutions on the trail include those from Masdar, Galaxy Technology, Star Factory, Keller and Al-Futtaim Engineering, covering wood-based panel products, valves with carbon transparency across the range, spray polyurethane foam roofing and waterproofing, ground improvement and foundation techniques, and integrated facilities management.
That list is a fair sample of where practical sustainability in construction actually operates. None of those categories is a headline technology. They are the material choices, foundation methods and operating practices that determine the embodied and operational carbon of a building without changing what it looks like.
The conference programme running alongside the exhibition covers codes, standards and regulations, health and safety, sustainability, artificial intelligence, technology, project management, concrete, modular construction and HVACR. Industry experts from ROSHN Group, Misk City and Saudi Binladin Group are among those addressing project delivery priorities, alongside the Saudi Building Code Center, Kabbani Construction Group, Al Kholi Group, Modern Building Leaders, SEVEN and Dussman Ajlan & Bros.
Four co-located shows separate the exhibition into its constituent markets: Heavy Saudi Arabia for equipment, Totally Concrete Saudi Arabia, HVACR Saudi Arabia, and Saudi FM & Clean for facilities management and cleaning. The organiser expects more than 35,000 trade visitors across the four days, a planning figure rather than a recorded one.
The event opens into a contracting market that has been letting fewer and much larger packages. The Saudi Contractors Authority recorded 25 awards worth more than SR29.5bn in June, the busiest month of 2026 by count, and has been running a project count well below 2025 levels for a comparable value. Its chairman has said the value of projects in the Saudi market is expected to exceed SR3 trillion over the next three years.
For suppliers, the practical consequence of that market structure is that an exhibition is now part of a qualification process rather than a sales channel. Clients procuring billion-riyal packages run formal prequalification and audit local content, and the buyers walking the floor in Riyadh next week are largely procurement and technical staff working out who can be put on a bid list, not who has the best stand.
